You're not gonna want to be naked under that Kigurumi, so start with the outfit you'll wear underneath it. We suggest something lightweight and casual - especially in the summer. It can get hot in there if you're outside in the heat, and you'll need something on should you want or need to remove the Kigurumi for a bit.
Conversely, if you're wearing it in the cool fall or cold winter temperatures, you'll want to wear something a bit thicker underneath. Just keep your tolerance for the temperatures in mind and you'll be fine.
Don’t forget the footwear! Cozy slippers are a comfortable option for indoor wear. Casual sneakers are a great choice for outdoor wear. Themed footwear can add a playful touch to your outfit.

Like any clothing item, kigurumi require proper care and maintenance to last long and stay fresh.
If you're washing your Kigurumi for the first time, we recommend using the gentlest setting on your washing machine using cold water and any laundry detergent. This is to keep the fleece fluffy, protect the detailing on the face, and to prevent any dye from bleeding. For subsequent washes the color should be set and you may use warm water if you wish. Fabric softener is optional.
*NEVER use chlorine bleach on your Kigurumi. Non-chlorine, color-safe bleach is safe to use.
We prefer to hang our Kigurumi to dry, but they take more than a day to dry. If you are feeling lazier (or you just can't wait that long), you can use the gentlest setting (usually air dry/fluff air) on your dryer. What you want is the setting that uses room temperature air as opposed to hot air, which will promote shrinkage. Although not necessary, dryer sheets will help prevent excess static on your Kigurumi (you can also just rub it down with a dryer sheet if you ever find it too staticky). To prevent wrinkles, try to take it out of the dryer as soon as it's done and hang/lay it flat.
*NEVER iron your Kigurumi.
Over time, you may notice a bit of pilling on your Kigurumi. If it starts bothering you, we suggest picking up a fabric shaver (we got ours for under $10 on eBay). They're super easy to use and they get your Kigurumi looking like new in no time.

Kigurumi are made to be loose fitting and will fit adults who are at least five feet tall. However, if you're taller than 6", the wrist and ankle cuffs might not make it all the way to your wrists and ankles. Extra Tall Kigurumi are designed to fit people over 6".
Remember - Kigurumi are usually baggy at the chest and waist. If you're concerned with fitting into one of our Kigurumi, the limiting factor is usually your shoulder width.
